The MASTER RAINDROP project is a 26 x half hour 3D animated television children series aimed at the age group of 8 – 11 years old. The tri-party co-production is the first officially sanctioned animation production between Singapore and New Zealand. The co-production agreement has been signed at the 2006 Mipcom in Cannes.

Created by Brent Chambers (Flux CEO) and Big Communications Ltd., the Series depicts a surreal road trip of a group of high spirited, 12 years old martial arts novices, where they meet a variety of weird and wacky creatures from Asian folklore, as they try to save their peaceful Land of Thousand Legends from and evil general and his army of terracotta warriors.

Flux’s leading role in the co-production was evident from the very beginning being a co- creator of the show. Furthermore, Flux was responsible for the complete initial design of the world of Thousand Legends and all its creatures. Flux Studio modelled/rigged/textured all the characters with the total number exceeding 180.

Flux also designed/modelled/textured the complete sets for the first four episodes including the general light rig for the Series.

Key attributes that contributed to the success of the series were:

• The Flux ownership of the IP resulted in active involvement of the Studio in the story development & initial design;
• Flux's direct control of the production design of the characters and leading role of design of the location sets and props ensured that the visual world created based on the Asian legends is of high international standard.
