Film Auckland Announces New Chair
Roi Macgregor, Film Auckland Chair, has stepped down after two and a half years in the role. Roi had wished to remain until we completed to the transition to the council and with the high priority Asia-Pacific Producers Network conference to organise next year Roi felt that the new Chair should have expertise in the Asia space. Roi has done a fantastic job in her time leading the organisation through a number of achievements including the Auckland City Council Film Friendly Protocol, better access to ARC parks, the strengthening of ties in Asia, the successful conclusion to the MRI and the new and improved role Film Auckland has in the new Auckland City structure – something that is the result of a year of hard work and advocacy. We welcome Pete Rive as the new Chair following his appointment at the last board meeting. Pete has a strong Asia focus and is perfectly placed to lead our strong work in that area, culminating in what will be an amazing APN conference in November 2011.
