With over half of New Zealand's screen production employment, and over three quarters of national television employment, Auckland is the home of the country's screen production industry. The industry is the second largest employer in Auckland's creative industries, and accounts for a substantial share of creative sector's recent growth. With 39 percent of national creative sector employment, the creative industries make a huge impact to the city's economy.
