"... It was the unusual topography of the region here where we have black sand beaches that don't really exist in the USA - cabbage trees and strange pines in the middle of swamps and forests ..."

VISA Credit Cards Brazil
The brief for the new Visa Credit Cards Brazil TVC was complicated and Conspiracy Films had approached a number of different local companies to work out their best way forward. After 3 months of researching - they decided to run with JoyRide and production commenced in haste.
Brief
The storyboard features a working couple who decide they want to go on holiday together. Trouble is he likes winter sports and she loves the beach. As they wander around their city each see various cues in the busy streets that illustrate their own perfect vacation and attempt to use these to sway each other in their final destination choice. Finally they come across a Travel Agency that has a poster of New Zealand in their window and realise they can have both their desired vacations at the same time. Of course Visa is the key to them achieving both dreams and they are soon happily ensconced in their favorite leisure activities - the ski field and the beach.Who

The Challenge
Auckland City was found to be highly attractive for it's unique costal attributes, international flavour, abundant pool of South American style talent, skilled Crew & facilities, and it's viable position as gateway to shooting other unique locations required throughout New Zealand.
But it all hinged around receptive Auckland City Council representatives & local location owners being accepting of this large scale TVC production playing out on their doorstep. The JoyRide team being based in central Auckland was well placed to meet head on the location management issues and keep everyone happy throughout. The Brazilian clients were thrilled with their experience in New Zealand having obtained the important location permits and other ascetic essentials the Visa TVC shoot went off without a hitch. During his stay the director noted many other appealing locations around Auckland for future projects and vowed to return.
